Networking pirates and promoting pirate events is what Pirates of the Treasure Coast is all about. Although pirate festivals have be going on for a very long time, the release of a very popular pirate movie spawned new life and more pirate festivals started to appear. Sadly, the economy took a turn for the worst and funding for many events were being cut. After experiencing the enjoyment these pirate events brought forth and subsequently witnessing the closure of two of them, founders Kathryn Gilbert and Micheal Marsh vowed not to lose another pirate festival and Pirates of the Treasure Coast was born.
Pottc’s Krewe of independent pirate performers is the heart and soul of this organization. Each of them has an unsurpassed dedication to professionalism and love of piracy that is truly admirable.
Today, with the support of these and many other friends in the pirate community, some pirate events have not only been brought back from the brink of closure, but new ones have been created and others are now growing in size.
